It seems the results for the 2009 Christmas number one, may have been leaked after a blog post revealed the full Christmas top 40 earlier.
The Christmas chart has been correct right down from 40 to 20, with the following list the top 20. The figures at the end of each are the total sales figures, which shows that Rage Against The Machine managed to beat X Factor’s Joe McElderry by over 50,000!

No Daryl, it was just under half a million and it only reached number two.
Rage – the greatest Xmas number one of all time, because it’s about civil rights and equality for all, and this movement was a great motivator to social change and a spirit of coming together at Xmas!
