X Factor winner Matt Cardle has claimed the coveted Christmas Number One spot with his new single, When We Collide, a cover of Biffy Clyro’s Many of Horror.
The single sold 439,000 copies in just 6 days, beating the likes of Black Eyed Peas and Rhianna, and making it the fastest selling non-charity single of 2010.
Matt was over the moon with the result. Speaking after the announcemnt on Radio 1. ”I can’t believe it,’ says Matt, 27. ‘As if winning wasn’t enough.
‘I honestly didn’t think I’d even make it on to the live shows, let alone win and be the Christmas No 1. I can’t even begin to describe how it feels.
‘It’s nuts, crackers and crazy.’
